BEKAA Jeyetik x LP4Y x Salam LADC

The Green Village by Life Project 4 Youth (LP4Y) is an alternative education program for girls in Lebanon. The program teaches the Youths hard and soft skills essential to their professional and social integration. Salam LADC builds bridges between the Lebanese and Syrian communities in Bekaa and supports them by providing educational and livelihood programs and more. Jeyetik provided training for LP4Y beneficiaries on period poverty. In their turn, Sarah, Hiba and Jinane animated an awareness session on this topic for 30 women from Salam LADC. Every woman received pads for 2 months. It was another lovely women’s circle where different generations discuss how they see things, such as the black plastic bag that reflects the shame or “عيب” around menstruation.
